That’s 13 countries out of the 30 I hope to visit before 30. I need to quickly visit one more country to move out of the square titled ‘13’.
One more year down the lane, I am.
People find reasons to party, and your birthday is one of them. Yesterday was time for me to soak in some calm and peace. As I crossed the 23 mark, I started thinking of my Thirty30 list and the one thing that has brought amazing joy to me over the last one year.
My Thirty30 list: Shame on me! I haven’t completed any of the 30, in spite of there being atleast 2-3 of them which I could have done last year. In my defence, well, read on…
I am joyously proud of one thing that I have done over the last year: Grassroutes (and yofa in general). At a time when most of my friends and well-wishers had written us off for just ‘talking’ about the youth factor and doing nothing - my team managed to beat all the odds, work from 4 different countries, 3 timezones, 6 different cities to launch an initiative which has been hailed as Social Change 2.0. I couldn’t have done it without these guys and this day is dedicated to them.
So, here’s to more awesomeness in the coming year!
The Latest Incredible India Commercial, Directors Cut.
I came across this on Twitter yesterday, and after watching it, I had a tear in my eye. I re-watched it again. And again. Thrice. And I realized how dumb I have been thinking of touring phoren lands while I have not explored my own motherland. I think I should show higher priority on some items on my Thirty30 list, and see if I can make a clincher out of this.
Incredible India.
That’s the count on my Thirty30 list. Not happy!
Made tiny progress on one of the 30 points: Visit 30 countries. I moved from 6/30 to 9/30 this year. Quite shabby, but heck, some progress it is!
Life inches on.
UPDATE: I’m tracking my progress on 43things.com now
A cheap take on Twenty20, but heck, this is what I will call my list of 30 things to do before 30: Thirty30.
Obviously I have been inspired by many such lists on the web (like Gaurav’s list) and turned off by many more (like these). The three basic rules that I followed while coming up with the list:
So, without much ado, as I turn 22 today, here is my list (in no particular order): Thirty30
I’d die of shock if I accomplished everything in this list. Heck! I’ll give it my best. And track the progress of each goal right here on this blog.
